"Hustle" the new term for hard-work
Many startups and entrepreneurs has used this term "hustle" to describe their work ethics or as there philosophy in achieving their life goals. For me as an architect with our very demanding field this philosophy works perfectly. Here is why; to deliver a good product as an architect you need to go through many stages of work, where each one demand long hours of work and immense amount of patience.
"Hustle"comes here as motivation phrase you can use to push your self to keep going and never give up even when you fall down once, twice even 100 times you try again till you reach. I use this phrase as to keep going and i will only stop till i reach where i wanted to, then guess what a new goal is drawn and "hustle" starts all over again, the only things should stops you, is your health and family's' health.
A source for constant motivation and success skills on professional level is GaryVee the author of Crushing it, he is not an architect but his working ethics, humility and gratitude traits makes him an icon in his field. I personally watch his videos on days i feel i should quit architecture and start something else but he brings back the idea of doing what you love or die trying, and it helps. Find your motivation source on both professional level and personal , who can help you to step back on your feet every-time you fall and puts back on the road of reaching your life goals.
Hard Work or Hustle is not just for academic or career life, lets say each one of us has a goal whether is academic, family related or career focused, each one of us is different, each one of us has a difficulty to over come. So whats the solution, how to achieve goals. I simply see it by handwork and guess what ,it wont pay off fast, no people need to learn to be patient and believe things take time to happen. you see people complaining of not finding a job while they send CVs from their home, that is not hard-work. you see parents complaining about their kids without taking part of their kids lives; that is not hard-work, i can sit here and list a lot of cases but i think we came to an agreement is working hard can be in every aspect of our lives : home, work, school , social life. give those sides of your life an extra hour and you will see a difference.
Even on a personal level, think of your self as a working project with many aspects; physical , emotional , mental , and many more. Take every aspect and work on it ; learn something new, go to the gym , stop eating unhealthy, read new books , spend time with family, go to parties. and you will the result of your-self project is paying off in 1 year maybe .....
So at end the key words are : hard-work, passion and patience , that is my hustle story whats yours!
